Chicago North Shore will meet via “Zoom” in February. Alpha Xi Delta has adopted the Kindly Hearts Campaign as its National Philanthropy for 2021-2022. Chapters and Associations choose charities in their areas as their philanthropies. CNS continues to support Northwestern University Settlement House, which provides services for children and their families in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. Yasmin Rodriguez, AmeriCorps Project YES!, Director, & Food Pantry and Support Services Director, will speak about the variety of services and programs currently offered at NUSH..
Please note: The March 9, 2022, group outing to see West Side Story at Lincolnshire Marriott Theater, which had been on hold, has now been cancelled.

Wednesday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. ZOOM into the Holidays!! While missing the person-to person sisterhood, we will give our holiday schedules a little wiggle room with eliminating travel to the meeting. Please remember Marsha’s beautiful home in past years!! There will be games and time to share holiday plans.
For those participating in donating gifts for the Northwestern University Settlement House family that was chosen for CNS, the wrapped gifts are due at Holly’s house on Monday, December 6. If you have the gift/s but don’t have time to wrap, please take them to Holly’s anyway. A couple of sisters have volunteered to help Holly with any final wrapping and packing. Contact Holly with questions.
The delicious and popular pecans are back! Carla is our fundraising leader coordinating pecan sales. $12 for 16 oz. bag of mammoth pecans and $10 for 12 oz. of chocolate covered pecans. Email or call her with your order. Send checks to her and make them payable to Chicago North Shore Alumnae Association. Contact her with questions.
We are NOT having Fannie May as a fundraiser this year.

ZOOM Genealogy: Jump Starting Your Family Research by Presenter: Julie Bartimus
Have you always wanted to know about your family’s “tree”? Julie will give tips and guidance for this project to determine your ancestry.
We will be selling Georgia pecans again this year! Get your order in to have the large and delicious pecans for holiday season baking (and eating)! Please note that we’re taking a break from selling Fannie May candy for 2021.
Holly will be taking names of volunteers to participate in the Christmas giving to a Northwestern University Settlement House family. If you can’t attend the Zoom meeting and want to participate, please contact Holly.
